Whilst out of work I've made a small wheelbuilding database for casual/home use that I would like to make available for free. I've checked the spoke length results against all the obvious ones and the answers are near identical. The difference with this one is that you can record stuff about each of your builds and you don't need an internet connection once you've downloaded it. I've got a few more features in the pipeline but I'd like to see how this is received first.

If you have the time to look at it I'd appreciate your feedback. There's both Mac and Windows versions available as zip files via the link above. PM's probably best unless I've made an absolute stinker and need to be publicly embarrassed.

Many thanks
I may be a minority of one but that doesn't prevent me from being right.

  • Just uploaded the first beta of the next version of WheelBuilder PE, free database and SLC. What’s new in this version is the ability to record trueness and spoke tension measurements. It’s not every wheel builder’s wish to do so but those that work with deflection and tension gauges now have a way of recording their results. Think of it as a way of saying to your clients, it’s up to you what you do with the wheel from now on but at least I can prove how it left my hands.

Interested in your feedback as always. PMs welcome.

I'm sure this is all good stuff, poss add a few screenshots of the database on your website, so that people know what to expect prior to downloading? :D
