Today will be a very busy day in the office :(

However, tonight I will be packing my bag ready for BRL (tomorrow night I want enough free time to fettle).

2 MORE SLEEPS!! :D

I will be taking the grandmother to the doctors, always an exciting experience when she's a hyperchondriac, best if someone goes in with her, otherwise she'll come out saying she's got 2 weeks to live

    Then some real work :(

Then maybe some time to play bikes :D

Then the grandmother again to help her this evening, seeing as she's managed to break her arm :?

    Morning.

I shall be fixing my oops moment from yesterday and then going out for a splash around a bit of probably wet woodland and out onto the moors.

Nightshift tonight so may also grab a kip this afternoon.

I'm rehearsing all day before giving a presentation tomorrow on my engineering design project for a HND in automotive engineering. The presentation pretty much is the end of the course (apart from evaluations). Then will will be hitting the pub tomorrow night :D

Which means I'm not going to get the chance to ride my new bike (which came yesterday) until friday :(

    Morning all,

Feeling a bit crap today to be honest, pissed off that work won't let me have Friday off anymore, so no Cannock fun. Also I stacked on last night's ride twisting my shoulder which is stiff as hell today so I'm regimenting 2 ibuprofen every 4 hours. Apart from that, work is pretty dull and life goes on as normal....Looking forward to BR Live though.

    2 Sleeps indeed!!! :D:D:D
Last night was interesting, I told my landlord that the fridge/freezer had broken, she came had a look and said no problem, we'll get you a new one asap. Then phoned a few hours later saying "You have 2 choices, either let us know, and we'll buy you a new one, or, if you buy your own fridge/freezer, we'll knock £20 a month off your rent; this may be negotiable"
What would you guys do? I'm thinking possibly ask for £25 a month off the rent, and buy some crappy 2nd hand thing?
Last night I attached the roof rack, which is nice and sturdy wooo. Tonight I will build shelves and hopefully get my interweb working at home.
Tomorrow night, like CWNT, I plan on fettling

    Morning Freaks!

So far this morning, I've been to the post office to collect a parcel, stripped down and rebuilt the Focus's freehub and adjusted the gear's indexing, fitted new (non rapid rise) XT mech (that was the parcel at the post office) to the XTC and replaced it's bottle cage & crankset bolts and finally replaced the bottle cage bolts on the TT bike. Now having a coffee before heading off to work for a 1 hour meeting, even though I'm on leave... :?

Well, technically my contract ends at the end of November, whether I will be staying or not depends on what the Landlords plans with the house are.
I can't seem to find anywhere that sells them second hand. This sucks, I'm sure there used to be loads of these places about

    Morning all,

Had a fire drill this morning, meant a few minutes outside instead of at my desk. It also reminded us all that the other company in this building has an abundance of good looking women working for them and we have none.

Got to take a trip to the PO today to post something……….. and that concludes my exciting plans for the day.

Went out for a ride with the bro last night, remembered I haven’t properly sorted my back brake out yet so was essentially down to 1 brake. Must do that tonight or tomorrow.

The wife woke up this morning and said “I had a really horrible dream last night, I dreamt you came home from work and told me that the girl had got the job working with you and you had decided you fancied her so was leaving me for her”. I got to work this morning and the other guy here (sorta my boss) told me that they had decided to hire the girl. Oh crap……..

thekickingmule, is your landlord good looking? If she's ugly get her to buy the fridge, if she's good looking buy a fridge and ask for the money back in kind.

    Is it 5 yet?

whereabouts do you live? I know round here there's a lot of places sell off cosmetically damaged stuff, scratched, dented tops and sides etc wonder if there's anywhere near you. Comet used to have an auction bit selling off similarly damaged goods on their website, dunno if they still do. A lot of these places that sell "graded" appliances advertise in the free papers.

If you're only there til nov tho definatelyit might be worth letting your landlord sort it, you ain't gonna save a fortune doing it yourself, it'll save you the hassle of dealing with it and also if anything goes wrong with it, if he's bought it there's no argument about responsibility

Yeah, just had a look on the market as there are some places that sell refurbished things, but there's nowt in the size I need, or the price range either.
I'm in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, I think I'm gonna pass it back to the landlord as I just cant justify buying a brand new one and as you said, I won't really save any money.

I've just bought some Murray Mints for the drive down 8) haha

    Afternoon chaps.

Sat in uni utilising the Internet connection here. Our home Internet will be set up by Friday, which is far too long...

Later, I may go back and get my road bike from my parents' house, but I may just wait until the weekend when I was going anyway.

    Let them buy one!

If you're buying 2nd hand, you'll have no warranty from most places, so if it goes bang, it's your problem. Let them buy it and worry about what happens if it goes pop.

Also, if you were to buy one, what happens if you move in Nov, to somewhere else that's fully furnished.

I've just been and bought some Maynards Sports mixture for the drive down too :D
