Youth races start at 6, there's then a trader's race before the elite race so elite about 7.30 i guess. Took ages to find anything, no times on the event website or BC calendar as far as I could see.0

Cheers Pross;

The circuit is slightly different to previous years and includes a fast descent down Baker Street before a sharp left hander into Frogmore Street and then a tight hairpin turn on the piece of road where Kristian House celebrated his championship victory in 2009. The circuit then climbs back up some narrow lanes all the way to Tudor street where the road has some width for riders to move up if they have the energy left in their legs.
The Get Connected event, which also includes a Traders Race as well as one for Youth riders as part of the build-up programme towards the main event, kicks off at 6.30pm. The evening schedule is as follows:
Start and Finish Post Office Square
6.30 p.m. Youth Races Presentation immediately after race
7.30 p.m. Traders Race (open to business’s in Abergavenny)
8.00 p.m. Signing On and Presentation of Professional Riders for the Get Connected Wales Open Criterium on the start line
8.15 p.m. Race Start

Used to do it with the hairpin in place but the other way around. The corner by Richards is always good for a few slides when they come down Baker Street into it but there'll be less width to make the turn now :shock:0

Is there an Abergavenny 10 on the raglan course this evening?0

Yep, I'll be there if I can get out of work in time.0

I opted for a gentle club ride instead - bad move it was 45 miles of hell up and down between Ponty and chepstow, nearly 3000ft of climbing. I learnt tonight that being quickish on a TT bike bears no correlation to hill climbing ability, I was off the back amost every time.
How did you get on in the ten? Who won, seemed like a fast evening!0
