Especially when the peloton neutralise the race themselves in the final 20km.

Luckily, there is no *ing way Thor is listening to anyone telling him to slow down today.

Which means all the sprinters teams will have to ride, which means the ever so delicate Schlecks will either have to ride or see Mick gain 10 mins on them.

Far from boring to date, barring the last 20k yesterday.

Could be boring if the wimps win, or the most exciting if they decide to race :P
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

How could watching other people ride a bike for 180kms be anything but boring?
    Smarter than the average bear.

    Yes.

Have you seen every other flat stage in the past 20 years?

Better than most, I'd say. Unless you are a Cavendish fan

Compared to the Giro yes it's boring - compared to going shopping it's riveting. If the peloton neutralise today then for me it'll devalue the race to some extent. How many will still be riding deep section full carbon wheels on the cobbles ?

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

Some must be watching a different race.
Other than the crashes, what has there been to watch?
Sunday was a procession until the final 10kms and yesterday was scratched.
    A yawnfest.

What exactly are you expecting to happen?
It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.

Speculation was that there would be cross winds on Sunday which might break the peloton up and that the hills/descent yesterday would give the likes of Hushovd a chance to shed Farrar/Cav etc

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

Are you a cycling fan? I agree that the Giro organizers always do a better job of making a course that has more cycling strategy/racing by the GC guys throughout all three weeks but this has still been an exciting race. The prologue was fantastic despite the rain and stage 2 was incredibly exciting (granted not for the reasons ASO planned on). Stage 1 was only so-so, but every 3 week race has those stages.

I didn't find the prologue particularly exciting - but I didn't expect to.

Not sure what you saw in stage 1 and 2 that was incredibly exciting. The roll out of stage 1 was desperately disappointing given you often get quite a period of people attacking and trying to get in a break - instead we got three riders shoot off unchallenged.

Stage 2 could have been incredibly exciting but for me the boycott rather spoiled it.

Yes I am a cycling fan.

No amount of cycling fandom can ever make a prologue exciting.

millar almost getting yellow was exciting in the prologue, that was about it.

If you didn't find today's stage exciting you'd better check your pulse, because you probably died during the night.

Until today, that was exactly the point: predictability.

Anyhow, wow, what a final 50kms. Nothing but excitement, all the way.
Great result for the race prospects, too.
None of the climbers killed off. All still in the mix.
Armstrong having to completely re-think his strategy.
Schleck jr ahead of Contador, but without the other prong of his attack.
Cadel holding a trump card for once.........
Dennis not having fallen off at all, yet!

Never mind motors in the frames, they should be checking for stabilisers on Menchov's bike!
