This is totally standard as picked her up on Sunday
Been out the scene for a few years and having sold my old GT 3 years ago didnt know what to expect going into my local dealer. I really am a novice and will just be using this for leisure and fitness
Anyway here she is. Not up there with some of your rides but this ones mine
Dying to personalise it with a few bits bot not sure which colour to go with the original gold/brown and white theme, just thinking brake cables, possibly pedals and bottle cage nuts etc (ideas VERY welcome)

Very Nice, I was looking at last years 6300, they seem to have upped the price and spec this year, looks like excelent entry level bike though!0

Well,
You could go totally over the top and change
Saddle - White Charge Spoon £20ish
Grips - DMR Loc'dd grips in White £12ish
Wheels - White Halo Freedoms - £200new £1002nd hand
Pedals - White DMR's
Stem - Ritchey White stem
Then it would look like a white bike with a bit of brown rather than the other way round!
and take that bloody chain guard off!0 -
Thanks guys
Yeah been wondering what to do with the chain gaurd, presume you mean replace it? or totally get rid of it?
Cheers for the other bits, as I said its been a while so need to get up to speed with current parts0 -
I personally would take it of and throw it at my local polititian.
You dont need to replace it, or even remove it if you like it there. but for me, its a bit like having orange reflectors on your spokes.
What brakes are they?0 -
Front Brake:Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc
Rear Brake:Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic
Brake Levers:Avid Juicy 3
Ha, the reflectors and novelty bell were the first things to go
Was thinking about introducing a complete different colour but think I have been convinced with more white0 -
Juicy 3's then. They look rather tasty in white.
You mean to tell me youve removed the legal bell? tut tut! My advice is to keep the bell in your pocket when out riding cause youll always get some smart arse thatll say you should have a bell when you ask them to move, its at this point you remove it from your pocket and launch in their general direction :-)
PM me your email address and ill show you the difference it made to my bike adding white bits, it might be enough to put you off!

Must admit, I cannot stand Juicy 3 brakes to be honest. I had them on my Orange Evo and the Prophet as standard, i replaced them both with codes.
The 3's have no stopping power for big blokes. That said the Elixir 5's on my crush seem to be ok. Theyre white too :-)
I think youve got to be careful with white as too much and it starts looking tacky.0 -
Thanks ellsbells, that is pretty subtle and tastefully done, not sure about the white chain guard but love the rest
Im 11.5 stone so not that much to stop, they should be good enough for what I have planned ie road and a little off road, nothing too straining in the bike/brakes. I will no doubt change them at some point just to be a tart once the bug grips me
Je James is on my route to work which wont help  I can see myself in there a lot
looking forward to getting out on it tomorrow night. I will of course update this with any changes to the bike0
