I didn't see another thread on the subject, how did you find this?

I'd not done 100 miles before, 88 miles was as far as I'd been. But by eating a drinking pleanty I got around in 6.33. Although I tell people 6.08 as the other time was pee and food stops

The wind was quite stong, but it seemed we never went completely SW for very long so avoided the worst of it.

Clear directions, and good marshalling along the way made it a nice day out.

Well done with that time Dave. I got to around 87 miles and came to a grinding halt. Completely hit the wall. I think I probably did the first half too fast into the headwind and then suffered for not eating enough later on. Lessons learned though.

Overall a very well organised event, though as I said somewhat spoiled by me finishing up in a hearse...yesterday's broom wagon

    I did see a hearse!

So, did you not even get a finish time and your bike was put in the hearse? I shouldn't laugh, but thats quite funny.

I did this as my first century and managed 6'30 as well so pretty happy. It was a good day with reasonable temperatures that didnt boil us but it was a windy day and the route is a windy one anyway, so that took its toll

    +ve's

    Route very well signed
    excellent marshaling
lots of stuff at the feed stops - just not great stuff IMHO

    -ve's

too much busy main road - I'm local and both those stretches (total about 12 miles) were totally unnecessary and my group was nearly taken out twice
no energy drink (as specifically stated) at the feed stops as promised - just a caffeine Red Bull copy in a can :(
£30 was well overpriced and they didnt put what they said in the goodie bag either

Glad I did it but much better value events out there IMHO.
