Missus loves her horse riding
I love my biking
Holiday usually site seeing, with a bit of night life thrown in, Turkey, Greece etc.
I'm getting bored of this now and fancy a holiday which caters for both the biker and horse rider.
I'm picturing somewhere like the south of France, some filthy sweet flowing singletrack, get fed croissants and uber coffee in the morn, given a packed lunch, hit the trails all day, come back and get trashed on wine and fine foods while watching the sunset.
Missus as above but on a horse all day with some nice countryside hacks.
Anyone?

French Alps.
Most resorts (morzine, les arcs etc ) do horse riding.

For the real South of France you're either very sporty, or barking
Here in the Gard its going to get to around 36°C this afternoon and probably not drop below 23° tonight, when we go out cycling we leave at 7 in the morning for a few hours or 7 even 8 at night, otherwise it can be a bit of a killer, your camelbac plus every bottle you can fill is a must - the missus would however probably love the Camargue horses, but its them that do the work, unlike you on your bike...
If you really want the South maybe try just a bit north of us, look for something in the Cevennes (First hill/mountain range north) or the Departement called the Lozere, both have tourist info sites with English versions i think, they can probably link you to hotels/gites or campsites that can help you out. The Ardeche region is also great if you fancy canoeing etc..
Otherwise the Alps is always a good bet, but you might find the Horse riding more limited.Every time I go out, I think I'm being checked out, faceless people watching on a TV screen.....0
