Why the caps of some plastic bottles say 'open by hand'?

Or:
After one American sued because they got the bottle top lodged in their colon.0 -
Whilst Tartanyak is hopefully, but with hindsight possibly not, joking, I fully expect it's because some American sued after chipping a tooth or something.0

Yup, someone tried to sue coz they broke a tooth. Plank.0 -
It did indeed stem from the USA. Some fat bloater tried to remove the bottle cap with a pair of pliers. It punctured the top causing the pliers to fly off at great force, straight through the window and into the road, where it hit an old granny in the head. She fell under a bus, which swerved, and drove over a canyon, landing on a nuclear missile plant. This panicked the station, which thought it was under attack, so launched 4 nukes at Cuba. Luckily this was covered up, but it just goes to show.

Be warned."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I prefer the bottles that can only be opened by telikinesis.0

Up until I saw that written on the caps, I used to open those bottles by squeezing them really hard til the tops popped off. That didn't work very well to be honest so I'm really glad for the warning. Just wish it was a bit bigger, all that milk on the ceiling's started to smell a bit funny.Uncompromising extremist0
