yeah i would suggest getting a 58 instead.it seems odd someone of your size is saying that a 60cm frame is too big lol. perhaps it's the geometry?

56 would be pushing it too much for you, get a 58

im 6'4" and a 61cm frame make me feel stretched out too.

I feel great on a 58cm though.. Try both and see what you prefer.. The sizing guides are hit and miss at best, and do no take into account variety in body shape.

I'm a smidge over 6'1" and my old Raleigh 22" frame measures up at a metric 56cm. When I bought it many, many years ago I specifically bought it to be a nimble ride which would also enable me to get a low profile with some aero bars on it. It fulfils this remit perfectly.
It has been re-introduced to action this year and I am loving riding it. It is however, seriously compact. At 6'3" I would think you will really struggle to get comfortable on such a small frame. Understand about the stretched out though. Once test rode a 60cm and very quickly ruled that out.

    That's odd.

58cm Specializeds have a 582mm effective top tube, and 60cm Treks are listed as 586mm, so nothing in it really.

Do both bikes have the same length stem? Same reach bars? Seems like you should be able to achieve the same reach on both bikes

    Hi peanut,

I ride amonge others a 58cm Trek with the same frame as yours and it is a tad cramped, its really down to what you like. I feel Trek top tubes are a little short, next time I would move to a 60cm in Trek.

56 I would say is too small for you, but 58 and play with stem lengths would be ok.

    I am 6ft 3 but a little long limbed.

    Regards
