Very nice, scales make superlight light bikes, i used to have a scale 40 which i got down to just over 20lb0

yer love scale's not sure on weight at the mo think its about 22 would like to hit the sub 20 but want to keep it strong, my wheels are not the lightest so could save a lot there plus going 1x9 or 1x10 gearing could then push me closer to 20 but we will see lol, why did you sel the scale mate?0

ellsbells 1973 : Got me eye on a Scale.
Better than the competition? GT Zaskar, Giant XTC, steel "hardcore" hardtail ?0 -
i love my scale, i looked at the zaskar and i think that its a nice bike! zaskar has a very good review in mbuk long term test! so it was between these 2, but for me scale was perfect, my friend has a stumpjumper ht which is also a very nice bike, these would be my top 3! scale top of course0

The Scale is designed as an out and out race bike, a 'hardcore steel hardtail' isn't really the competition!0 -

yer that is why i got it as i have started to race, and it does it well i feel a lot faster on it! but it is 6lb lighter than my last bike and i have lost 2 st since last winter series so that probably helps lol0

i know the slr wheels look very bling but i am sure you could get excellent handbuilts that weigh less for a lot less coin0 -
yer i know im not 100% set on slr i have looked into american classics they seem cheap pound for lb! do you know anything about tune wheel builds they seem very light but not sure how strong they are?0
