Lee Quarry - event going on? how would I have known?

Hi, the one day I decide to go and visit Lee Quarry it appeared that there was a big event going on.
What was it and did any of you participate and have fun?
Was this mentioned on this forum? Was it advertised and if so where?

it was the singletrack weekender, still on tomorrow too....it was advertised mainly through s*inglet*ack magazine and forums..

indeedy, the place will have plenty of places to watch the events...don't think it's an only racer entry , i think anyone can go to watch,

Made the same mistake myself,only realised when i got to the top of the first climb or i would have gone and tried gisburn.
It was the singletrack big weekender,really missed having a lark about on the skills area and berm runs,also wanted a bash on the pump track but it was full of kids who would have laughed at my lack of skills .
Think tommorow will be busy as well i think its a cross country race round the trails.0
