Hi all. newbie here.
A keen rider im new to buying quality bikes. I have decided to get a Giant XTC 2, but dont know enough about the differences between the 2009 model and the 2010 model. Is one better? Has the 2010 been upgraded much? Looking at the specs I cant tell much difference... can anyone help me out?
Has anyone ridden one / both?

They are near identical on component spec.
The 2010 frame is new though and is allegedly a bit lighter than the 2009.
If price ain't an issue then get the 2010 model, but there isn't much between them.
Edit: Scratch that. If price ain't an issue then spend the £1000 on the 2009 XTC Alliance. Both frame and components blow the other two out the water.

I thought the head angle was slightly changed on this yrs models. Maybe I'm wrong.
The 2010 DOES look a bit nicer, and I was looking for a frame only recently, and saw the unpainted/anodised one in a Ti colour. Very nice. Think its on the Taiwan site.
But it can be seen on EBay, with a few Chinese shops selling it.
Would be a nice stable mate to my TCR road bike.0 -

Nice find! Unfortunately, going through Cycle To Work Scheme, and Pauls Cycles put an extra 10% on.. and the limit is £1000, which means its over!
But, think Ill be going for the new XTC2. Thanks for the advice!!!0 -
Actually, going for the 2009 one. I think it looks better, is a bit cheaper, and specs are till good !0
