Great day out, Whinlatter was brilliant as always
few things though...
1) the Veho Muvi is utter shite over anything remotely rocky. I'll be getting the Go pro back of my bro.
Really gutted because I was hoping to have a few vids to post up but there's no point tbh
2) I WANT WIDER BARS!! hehe, the longer forks really made a difference going dh, loved it! But I just need a bit more stability as I found it much easier to carry my speed and was going a bit faster than usual!
(look out for my Monkeylight CNT Bars for sale in the classifieds )
3) Revs are much much much better at 150mm. I'm going to get some fairly low rise, maybe even flat, bars to balance out the climbing a bit and then I think the P7 will be 100% perfect
You all had a good day riding?!

1) Yes, yes they are. You can improve it slightly if you pick your mount carefully though. Also padding out with sponge / rubber can help.
2) Sounds to me like you need some Atlas FR Bars, you'll probably want to chop them down a little when you've got them fitted. Shame, because I'd have swapped your Monkeylights for my Atlas' if you'd have asked earlier.
3) See above.0 -

You on about the well talked about £13 quid ebay job? It doesn't skip at all.0 -
it bloody does
Tis fine on smooth trails.. but terrible on anything fast and rocky!0 -
how wide do you want? i have the gravity lites, really good for £20 at on one, but only 680mm (260g) or for a bit wider, funn fat boys come in 750 or 710mm width, 50 or 30mm rise, about 290g. if you want 25.4, the funn full ons are the same (i think) but 25.40

Well currently I have 685mm with a 2inch rise.
I would ideally like 700+ with a very low/flat profile!
like this..

what about this- in 750 width/15mm rise: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=15829 - it's half the price of the gravities too0

In Whistler at the moment. Saw the start of the last stage of the BC bike race then did a XC route called the Northwest Passage. Spotted a bear grazing so gave it a wide birth, got slightly lost on the way back but came down at the side of the bike park. Having a rest today!Eddy Merckx EMX-3
