What if Floyd had listened to Vaughters?

According to Floyd, Jonathan Vaughters told him to come clean back in 2006. What if he'd listened to him? Would he have been welcomed back like David Millar or Virenque?

Personally, I don't think so. I think the difference is he had won the TDF and so was a huge black mark for ASO, cycling, way beyond anyone else failing a drug test. If a guy placing 3rd fails, they can still say, "yes, but the best guy in our race is clean, and we caught the dopers out so it's legitimate" But when the winner of their race is caught, the whole competition's ruined.

I do think he'd be in a better place now, but I still think even today, 4 years later, ASO still wouldn't let him back in.

(And BTW, isn't Vaughters the only one coming out smelling roses in this whole thing?)
