Cardiff / Swansea route

Hi All,

I'm taking a week to tour a bit with a mate and was wondering if anyone knows of any route that takes you off-road (as much as possible) from Cardiff to Swansea & the Gower?

I'm actually riding from Abergavenny in the Beacons, meeting the Brecon & monmouthisre canal and riding it to Newport, onto Cardiff... so if there are any other alernates, I'd be much obliged! Not looking for loops as such - more route from A-B. Doesn't HAVE to be harcore trails either, anything that just allows us to avoid the tarmac...

    hi mate,

    my boss does a route from cardiff that takes him up the taff trail to pontypridd then he goes off road somewhere and comes over the mountains down through afan and then onto neath. i'm not exactly sure how he does it but there's bound to be some maps somewhere online. i'll ask him next week when i see him where exactly he rides. :D
