Hi guys, not been on here for a while, thought id post up a few pics of what my bike is like at the moment.
Its being used mostly on the road, hence the tyres, but i do put a set of fire xc's on most weekends!

Oh and thanks to some tips from a few members ive serviced my god awful forks - which are now totally different and amazing!

upgrades to date over standard:

x9 front mech
x9 shifters
sram pc951 chain
ritchey stem
ritchey carbon riser bar
fsa carbon seatpsot
specialized seat
KCNC crank bolts
KCNC skewers
KCNC seatpost clamp

bike is still going stong after about 4000 miles - no break downs touch wood!

Very nice bike! Those forks aren't stock though are they? Or was it just the 2009 that came with rebas?

yeah these were stock on the 2008 model - id rather have rebas though!

to be fair i think there were some compromises when the 2009 model came out.. i.e. better fork but not as good chainset etc.. some and some.

Ah ok, is that the XC600 then? I did hear about some people having problems with them. And didn't the 2009 one come with the stylo chainset as well?

    yeah xc600tst2

They are absolute turd, or mine were anyway. God knows what someone did to them when they were manufactured.

I gave mine a complete strip down, including the damper and changed all the oil. I think they had to much in before as i struggled to get 50mm travel and they wernt at all plush. All cured now though, would highly reccomend anyone with these forks to get them serviced.

And iirc the 2009 model has the firex chainset.
  • nice bike, really like the gold chainring bolts, just bought some kmc one's of ebay for mine

You think Ralphs are fast you should try Furious Freds!

Looks nice that, same frames you can pick up on eBay unbranded.
