Just Bite The Bullet?

I've got two Focus carbon bottle cages which are black with Focus written across them in red and as my new bike is white I was wondering if it would be possible to spray paint them white with a plastic based paint? Or should I just bite the bullet and splash out on new ones?

I know i'm being anal wanting everything to match but isn't everyone??? :)

Reading back I also sound abit tight (I am from Yorkshire.... :) ), but as they were £30 each I thought it would be better to see what I could do with them before selling them.

Yup, make your £30 cages look like 2p's worth - particularly after the paint has scraped off. Either live with the carbon - too much colour-co-ordination is overkill IMO - or splash-out on new ones.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Yup I'm leaning towards your way of thinking Monty, Especially the 'sraped paint' comment.

    Thanks for your input

Have you thought about spray painting the bike black?

Look around a little and I'm sure you can find a set of, dare I say it, the OLD style
metal cages in white. And probably pretty cheap. Sorry if I've offended you by even suggesting this crude and obviously out of date solution.

I don't see how this is a clashing problem, black contrasts white nicely. The little bit of red shouldn't be too bad..

Only clashes as it's a Cannondale (White) Synapse and the cages have Focus written all over them, that's all.......

I didn't realise Focus did bottle cages. That's certainly one up over B+Q.

I tend to get people in than do any DIY to be honest. But if I do, there aren't any Focus stores near me, it's all B+Q.

Focus are a little cheaper than B&Q but B&Q have a greater selection of choice
