Green bits eh?
Got a green MACHINE TECH non-disc front hub...in Green! Did I menetion it wqas green?
Thanks for the info, re. Hope, as I was planning on getting a red seat clamp next week.0 -
They do need to be lightly greased and done up very very tight in order to get decent clamping.0

Do you need QR? If not, the bolted collar is good.0

Mine isn't great! But that might well be the seatpost shim i'm using...0

sorry guys talking about the bolted seap clamp, it has an aluminium bolt which doesnt clamp the post properly & loosens. A titanium item would be alot better.Show me your green bits i might buy them !0

Or steel. The bolts are easier enough to replace, just take the old one to a hardware store.
Or have a look at M Parts seat collars.0 -
The Hope clamps are very nice (I've got three) but they don't apply a great deal of force to the seat tube. Basically if your seat post falls down inside the seat tube when the clamp is loose, the Hope clamp is not for you.0
