heading west from bournemouth.

needs to within an hours drive. done so much of our local stuff i need something new (especially after enjoying afan/cwmcarn so much last weekend)

I can think of two, Haldon forest and Croft Trail although I have not been to either so can't comment on how good they are and they are both probably over an hours drive away.

Croft is OK.... its not worth the hour drive specifically for, but if you happened ot be in the area its worth a punt,

i had planned on riding haldon, but have heard its being chopped about? the freeride / northshore section has gone? making it less interesting, so that only really leaves the more "descrete" routes, like the longleat loop, and the salisbury plain rides. (not waymarked)
