Hi - newbie here but I'm looking at upgrading from a giant SCR2 (Alu / tiagra) to a decent summer bike. Any advice on going for a 2nd hand 2007 giant tcr c2 which is fully carbon (T700 - as Boardman) and has been upgraded from ultegra to dura ace, ridden summer only I'm told, don't know mileage but would guess around 7-8k miles - price £1000. (Eco principles like re-used aswell). Or is there too much risk and should I stick to a new boardman team carbon at same price (I could stretch to the pro carbon if it's really worth the extra).

Really appreciate any advice.

In my view yes. You can't know what use that frame has been put to in that mileage.
    No warranty either.

agreed.value wise id say team over pro, its the same mould and shape probably just a little heavier but its still very light. 7-8k miles is quite a lot and new would buy a few years riding wear and tear from the kick off.

    Cheers guys for the advice.
Had a ride on the TCR today - pre-arranged before thought of posting for advice -
Not bad and I'm confident looking at all 5 bikes the seller has he keeps them in good order.
Having ridden both I am though learning to the Boardman (I think!)
