Knocking fork

My pikes have just been for a service, and after some leaking oil i've been sent a new compression damper...

There is also, what feels like, some play in the bushings, but it isn't fore-aft it is up-down, but a decidedly notchy fashion like a loose headset etc. Is this likely just to be the top-out bumper?

Need to find out if is the bushings I am afraid.

Sometimes the very first bit of travel can feel like a faint knock if a bit of stiction in all the sealing.

I'm really regretting sending them to fishers now, the rep mentioned that they would do a good job...

Like arse they will, arrived back PISSING oil EVERYWHERE. So they've sent me a new compression damper, which is fair enough, although it was marked as inspected. I suspect that something hasn't been put back in properly.

The knock is just like a headset one, but the headset is not loose as the play is definitely the uppers moving in and out of the lowers with no side to side play. I have a sneaking suspicion i'm going to have to cough up and send them off to tf instead. Really pissed with fishers about this.

Sorry about your problems but you have just helped me make my mind up. I was going to send my Revelations to fisher when they need a service but i think i will use TFtuned who i have used without problem in the past.

dual air u-turn

it's weird, i was hoping the new moco cartridge that was apparently required would fix the problem, but it is still there. I suppose it isn't the end of the world, i'm going to get some 2011 dual position air revelations when they come out, along with the RS drop post.

I's strip out the air sytem and lube up as per RS tech. Made my forks very supple.

LOL, right off the back of a fisher service...

Anything else it might be that doesn't involve me basically doing what i've just paid to have done because i wasn't really happy to do it...
