Dr Bike?

Anyone had Dr Bike look over your steed?

Looking at this site - he basically pumps, lubes, tightens and straightens you out: http://ravenfamily.org/andyg/drbike.htm

Assuming my bike is pretty well sorted and I don't think I have any niggles at the moment, will bringing my bike to him actually do me any good?

A Dr Bike is visiting my workplace tomorrow and while I'd like to ride, my week away involved so much walking and one ill-advised night of very mixed alcohols - that my right leg has gone very weird indeed and I'm not sure about riding as soon as tomorrow...

...I just want to know if it's worth possible strain for a look-over by El Doctore Bicicleta

Ultimate Bikes come to our office every so often and do the same kind of thing. I use them occasionally because although I can wield a toque wrench I'm not exactly 'handy'. Whenever I put something together (or back together) it never feels quite as perfect as it should and there is usually a mysterious squeek or some rubbing.

I let them give the commuter the once over last week and it felt like a new bike as I rode home.

Letting pro have a look once in a while can't hurt.

I have not used Dr Bike, but have used BikeAde who was fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend. there is something thoroughly luxurious about having your bike "magically" better for the journey home.

Wussed out, leg still sore - got lots of freebies from the Better By Bike people though - including a rather smug 'I give cyclists space' car window sticker - not sure I dare put that one up...
