Coast to Coast Cycle from Whitehaven to Sunderland in aid of the RNLI!

Get on your bike for the RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews - 17 & 18 July 2010

The 2010 Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge charity ride in aid of the RNLI will take place on Saturday July 17 and Sunday 18th. The C2C, as it is also known, goes from Whitehaven on the Cumbrian coast via the Lake District, crossing a challenging section of the Pennines, before finishing at the North Sea's shoreline beyond Sunderland.

The cost is £75 per person and this includes transport to the start of the ride, early on Saturday morning. Parking will be included, as will baggage and bike transfer plus campsite. All you need to do is get to Sunderland and be ready to leave by 7am. The organisers will then take you by coach to Whitehaven where you will be reunited with your bike. They will then take your tents, sleeping bags and overnight gear to the campsite at Alston, Britain's highest market town, where you will all have a jolly evening before completing the ride on Sunday morning. We will be on hand to give you a hero’s welcome when you reach the finish at Sunderland Lifeboat Station! Free parking will be provided near the finish line.

All cyclists will be encouraged to raise money for the RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards. Anyone pledging over £100 in sponsorship will receive a FREE RNLI tshirt to cycle in, and we will be there throughout the weekend to support you.
