Have been looking at a bianchi c2c 928 105 2009 model but can't find any reviews on line. Does anyone ride one and/or know anything about them.

My intended use is middle to long distance recreational rides and sportifs. I'd like to get into triathlon too.

Cheers

  • I have the 2010 version (Cento Strade, still with the curved down tube) with Campag. I personally can't fault it for what i use it for (mid to long distance recreational rides). It's pretty dam quick when you want it to be too.

I can't praise it enough to be honest. If you've the chance to get an 09 model i'd snap it up before someone else does.
    Road: Bianchi Cento Strade C2C
    MTB: Trek Top Fuel 9
    Other: TBD....
  • There is a review of the 2008 model on Bike Radar

I think the 2009 is very similar, changes to paint work being the main difference.

I have a 2008 model and I agree largely with the review, not the lightest carbon bike but very smooth ride, and safe handling
    I ache, therefore I am.

Got the 2010 infinito a fortnight ago. I tested it against loads of other bilkes including Trek, Willier, Look, Pinarello and Scott Pro. What i wanted was a bike that was both responsive and comfortable for long distances. It was a close call between the C2C and the Scott Pro, both were way ahead of the others for my needs. In the end the Bianchi won but I would have been happy with the Scott also. IMHO the C2C is ideal for the sort of riding you describe. I have just completed 500 miles on it in the first fornight - still enjoying every minute. FWIW the test bike I used had Campag Athena groupset which I hated. I always use Shimano so I went for the Ultegra 6700 spec which normally comes with Fulcrum 7 wheels. Epic Cycles were doing the Ultegra group with Fulcrum 3 thrown in.
Incidentally I cant praise Epics enough - very patient with customers who intend to buy something. As always, get a test ride - but I think youll love it.
