Road tyres

My son has bought a Scott Apsect 55 model mountain bike the wheels size says 26x1.50
He wants to be able to swap over to road tyres to do some road riding. can anyone tell me the smallest size of tyres and tubes he could use. The bike has disc brakes so no problem worrying about brake blocks reaching or anything.

depends on the rims, but in all honesty, any road type tyre intended for mountain bikes will be fine.
Something along the lines of the continental city contact
or the continental travel contact
should be fine.
However, I used to run Continental double fighters some time ago, and found them great for riding along roads to get to the trail, and also a great summer trail tyre.0
