Short valve

Hi
I have bought some new wheels, just fitted my old tyre/tube, and the valve is just peeking through. The rims are modern, whereas my old wheels were very old. Is the "short valve" a problem?

It depends on whether you can inflate the tube with the amount of valve protruding. If you can then I don't see that it is a problem.0

Thanks! I've just realised that I can inflate with hand pump, but not with my track pump! :-)0

You could get longer valve tubes for less than a fiver......
