Bike trousers but with proper pockets

I am having trouble finding a light, quick drying pair of loose cycling trousers which would look ok at work, in shops etc. but which I could also wear as travelling and evening trousers when on tour abroad; then you need to have decent sized secure pockets for tickets, passports, wallets etc. I did buy some Endura Firefly which are ok at home (and I was warm enough in winter with leg warmers too) but the pockets are shallow and unzipped and coins fell out onto train seat. The cargo pocket is way too small for passport or wallet and even the back pockets are not deep although you can't use them for sitting when travelling and they are not secure. I did used to use some craghopper walking trousers which have the pockets but are not as comfortable on the bike and the material has rubbed thin.
Anyone found anything which does the job?

Pockets on cycling trousers arent going to be much use - I'd not want stuff rattling round, or rubbing you.
Why not leave a pair of trousers in work and change in the loo or something ?

Aye, pockets aren't the best thing for cycling I'd say. I have a few pairs of baggy shorts (casual clothes, none of this MTB pish) that have pockets at the knees and that. I'll wear them sometimes if I'm going to work or uni or something. Anything hard/heavy will hurt. Phone, wallet, keys, loose change, etc. :(

If you really must have pockets then a good pair of walking trousers would be best as they are designed to be quick drying. You'll need to take a trip to your local millets/go outdoors type place or use it as an excuse to visit ambleside :D
