Which type of Powerlink do i need?

On my bike I have a Shimano CN-HG40 106 links chain and was wanting to fit a powerlink can I use SRAM Powerlinks or do I need something else???????????

    Yep, you need one of the 8 speed silver Power Links.

    Nowt to do with the links.

    You need what ever speed you have, that's it.

    You need 'male to male' links in the chain to connect.
