Apart from that they are RS Tora 318s with motioncontrol (the red sticker) is there anything else such as the year that ythe more experienced riders on here can tell me about them?

I know it's a big ask, but is it possible to tell if they will have Post or IS disc brake mounts or if they are likely to be coil (U-Turn) or air sprung? If I knew the year this would be easier.

Just trying to ensure that i have everything I need prior to the fork arriving, and I would ask the seller but I won't get a reply until this evening and could do with purchasing it all online this afternoon.

Cheers guys.

Thats cool, I was worried that it would be post mount and I would have to order an adapter. Hmmm... I need to find out if it's air sprung now so I can get myself a shock pump. :?

looks like a 2008, if so, it'll be IS mount. Can't tell you if it's air sprung or not though.

Thanks, just looked them up, they are looking to be almost as expensive as the fork itself!

Is a good investment for 20 quid. These forks are 250 rrp.

Cheapest I could find with a pressure gauge was £25, which is half what I spent on the forks (incl. £10 postage)

Cheers SS, think I will go for the bikehut one at Halfords as I work near one and need some headset bearing anyhow for this weekend. Am I likely to find the valve at the base of the fork lowers?

If it's solo air you'll find the valve at the top of the left leg (looking from riding position).

Are you sure? I can see a band of silver which looks like the bit that the crown race slides onto on the 2010 Toras I have on the wifes bike. Ah well, won't take a minute to pop it off when they arrive. :D

I am both excited to get them on and test them and apprehensive that they will need servicing :?

They came this morning and as always you were correct Nicklouse!

As far as functioning, they feel perfect through the full travel (yes I definitely need to up the PSI before riding more than curbs) and both compression/lockout and rebound damping works perfectly. In their present state they actually feel very similar to brand new 2010 Tora 100mm Coil SLs (my only point of reference) which in my books means after the PSI increase and some damping tweaks they should do me well.

    Can't believe I got them for £50 delivered! :D
