Well that was the worst 30km I've ever done...

The driving exhibited today was just appalling, worse than I've ever seen before. I got cut up multiple times, had to emergency brake on two separate occasions when people overtook me and then just stopped, a fair few very close overtakes, one where I felt the wing mirror brush my hand, and just a general crap attitude. About 4 times I stopped to allow drivers through when there were parked cars (once when the cars were on their side) and just got looks of disgust.
I was going to go a lot further, but that hour was far too annoying, and frightening to be honest. I never want a ride like that again...

Sorry to hear about your experience, altho prob's 1000's of others have felt the same, best just to write it off and forget about it, as i'm sure you will next time you go out on a REALLY ENJOYABLE RIDE or to coin a phrase " don't let the bar stewards get you down"0

I made a mistake a few months ago of going out on a training ride in the rush hour (~17:30) and it was simply horrendous. I was annoyed with myself because I should have waited until about 18:30+ when people start calming down. I got cut up all over the place and I lost count of the time I got the classic "squeezing in", i.e., overtaking when coming up to bollards.
Lesson learned, patience really is a virtue (and one exclusively learned by the old and infirm )
Lot's of fantastic rides since which has put that experience down as a one off distant memory.0 -
It's curious, the day before yesterday everybody seemed to be driving competently and courteously. Yesterday, all that went into reverse - and within 5 miles of home I twice had to resort to screaming, first to stop someone pulling out into me, and then to stop some cab driver from reversing into a pedestrian.
And today it's all back to the average mix of mostly good, occasionally atrocious. You never know, you really don't.0 -

Thats bizarre, i found that too, and this was before the footy started so you cant really blame the drink. Spooooky!!The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0
