How "burly" do we think these forks are?
They seem to be handling everyhing i've thrown at them so far, but with a potential change on the way, are they going to be strong enough for me to take them a bit harder/faster?
hmmm.
For comparison... the Magura Wotan would be as stiff as fcuk but is still only listed as a AM/Enduro fork, but has a 2-3lb weight penalty and are more expensive

revs/wotans are in the same class.
i would be saving the cash."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

What do plan on bolting them to?What We Achieve In Life, Echoes In Eternity0

I think they're plenty tough enough for anything you'd reasonably use them for.
For me, I'd more be looking at wether they were long enough rather than strong enough.
As Torres says, what you looking to bolt them to?0 -

Hmm fair enough! Think I may have to look at something else :?
Money wise i won't actually be spending anything as it will bablance out at the end so i'm not too fussed... its just Lyrics are fapping expensive and they're probably too much fork.0 -
Just been reading the RS tech manuals...
Looks like the Lyric solo air travel can be adjusted to 160mm using an internal spacer?
Can anyone confirm this?0 -
Yes.
Revs are tough, but Pikes and Argyles are tougher.0 -
Mine are fort william tough Though admittedly, very slow fort william tough. But if you want stronger, it's Lyriks or 36s probably. I'd be surprised if the Wotans aren't stiffer than the Revs mind.
It's also going to depend on what Rev it is, I've had 3 and they've all been constructed differently. The 2009 maxle one was the strongest of the 3 I reckon, since it was pretty much a Pike Lite.Uncompromising extremist0 -

does anyone know the axle to crown length of Revs at 150mm and Domains/lyrics at 160mm please?0

16mm difference +- 5mm according to the chart, so an extra 15mm spacer on the revs would give the same stack height if using all the same kit as the offset is the same.

Ive just swapped my 2010 revs for wotans, they deffonatly dont feel in the same class.
You dont relise how flexy a fork is until you run somthing way stiffer back to back and 2010 maxle 150mm revs are quite flexy, but will still take a hammering.
And 2010 maxle revs weigh 4.1 lb and wotans 5.6 so 1.5lb in it.0 -
Yup, not surprised by that, compared with the 2009 Revs my new ones are noticably less stiff. Though still more than stiff enough tbh, but some people get very worked up over this stuff.Uncompromising extremist0

they are still stiffer than 140mm fox floats with 15qr axle, i couldnt tell any diffrence between those and normal qr floats.0

Fox's 15mm QR forks are designed to be between 15 to 25% stiffer than standard QR. For many that is not worth the extra expense and weight, and even more can't feel it anyway.0
