Hi

I'm relatively new to the whole mountain biking ordeal, and would appreciate some advice. I really enjoy the country terrain instead of "road riding". I was hoping you guys could suggest some good single track trails around the Manchester area.

Cheers

Rob

ps: I've visited Lee Quarry (Bacup) and Delamere Forest - both good - anymore for anymore?

    Hi

Cragg Quarry near Lee Quarry is also well worth a visit, also plenty of excellent natural riding if you venture to the peak district, south pennines or over todmorden way.
I'd recommend getting some ordnance survey explorer maps for where you intend to ride, very useful for planning routes and rides.

    Thanks for the responses!

Went to Mellor this afternoon and was quite impressed, did the "Mellor Moor" loop which is around 10miles and was good fun.

Rivington is next on the to do list!!

I assume you have transport to get from A to B?

Try Gisburn forest, not too far out for you and its pretty damn good riding.
    Advocate of disc brakes.
