3PEARS Sportive
The 3Pears Sportive is a brand new event based in Worcester on Sunday 15th August 2010. The 86mile route aims to be challenging but more importantly enjoyable. Although not competing to be the toughest sportive on the calendar it should not be underestimated, the final climb of Ankerdine Hill at 78miles is a stiff challenge for anyone.
At only £15 pre entry it is hoped that the event will provide excellent value for money. The route is on very quiet cycling friendly lanes that undulate through picturesque countryside, the second half of the ride gets a little hillier which should enable riders to utilise their full range of gears
There will be 2 feed stops on route (an extra water stop if the weather is as hot as at present) and food & drinks available back at the HQ. Accommodation can be found at the HQ for those travelling from further afield and plenty to do for non riding husbands, wives, partners and kids within Worcester itself.
A donation will be made to a local kids hospice – ACORNS charity.

As a first time organiser, within 45min of posting on forum, its hard to explainboth the feeling of relief and excitement when the first entry is recieved. :P0

Following a number of email requests, a shorter 50mile route is being added to the program but will still include Wigley Orchard Bank and Ankerdine Hill. Riders need not decide until they reach the 1st feed stop where the routes will separate.
The 50mile route will be put on the website this weekend :P www.3pearssportive.wordpress.com
