pole dancing can be quite erotic, depending on the circumstances, but it's also an amazing display of physical ability.
I have to say, I did not "get" that about it at all until the pole dancing girl I knew showed me some videos of the professionals doing it in competition. It really is just gymnastics, on a pole, their strength and control is mindblowing.

I agree that pole dancing is a little lame generally I think the pole is more of a loss leader into a private lap dance which is a bit more enjoyable especially in eastern europe where the no touching rules can be relaxed somewhat.
