Irritating Rust - how to avoid?

I like to think that I look after my bikes OK, and the state of the drive-trains suggests this is true - but I still get rust in irritating places:
the heads of the limit screws on my front mech stem bolts the return spring on brake calipers
Do I just need to dry even more carefully, or would e.g. a more expensive groupset be made of metal that didn't do this?

    1) You can get stainless grub screws from a few sources, or else check torontocycles.com for all types of alloy hardware

    2) stems bolts are notorious for rusting. Replace with stainless steel or Ti if you have the money

    3) Not much you can do about that. Better brake use plated steel springs which don't tend to have the same problem as Sora & Tiagra.

get a can of acf-50, put just a smidge inside the hex key hole, screwdriver slots, and other exposed bits that rust

it clears minor rust and then protects

one application lasted all through last winter, rain, salt spray etc., no sign of rust on stem bolts etc. - unprotected even a slight shower was making them go rusty

btw it spreads like crazy and is quite tenacious, so don't apply too generously
