Hi,
I really love road cycling and although my bike is quite old we get on alright. I don't have a huge budget, in fact I have no budget at all which means a new bike is out of the question. I could however replace the parts with lighter alloy parts, i.e. bars, crank, seatpost etc. I'd also like some ally wheels. My question is, would it be worth it for a bike that must be at least 13 years old? if so would I still be able to get parts that would fit like 1" forks and a six speed rear wheel?

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Honestly if you are happy with it just keep riding it. If your work do the C2W scheme this may be a way of you getting a new bike for mucho cheapness.0
