I know it's top pull i need, but what diameter mech would i need, i have no means of measuring as my caliper has gone missing.

There is another way!
Measure it with string/cotton.... c=pi*d0 -
It is definitely 34.9mm on the Anthem X - I fitted a 34.9mm XT front mech to mine and it went straight on with no spacers0
