I have just bought a bearing replacement kit for my Crank Bros pedals, followed the instructions remove the dust cap, undo the nut, pedal body should come off the spindle along with the bearing. Needless to say it doesn't, has anyone replaced their bearings and if so how did you do it?

    pull more.

sometimes the races can seize on the axles.

When I did my 5050xx the needle bearings had worn so much they had carved themselves into the axle making it decidedly dificult to remove the pedal platform.

Lesson learnt:- riding for nearly six months, 4-5 times a week, through winter without greasing them is not very good for 5050 pedals......
  • pull harder/give pedal a tap with a rubber mallet from the inside,
