yeah, sorry dude but North Bristol's a bit of a bummer for me to get to. How about a central start to make it fair for all, that would be greatl. Oh, hold on, I just found a club that's just the ticket!

    Perfect!!!
  • It's common decency to let people know what you're up to. Not a problem with them setting a club up that's more to their abilities and cycling needs but to do so without letting us know is just rude.

The problem with BRVC has now left

People who want a central start can ride with Bristol south cc. They meet at Bristol Bridge. I went with them last time I was home in Bristol and they were very nice guys. If North Bristol CC don't mind then I'l join you for a ride next time I visit home from London. My parents live in Bradley Stoke. I will hopefully move back to Bristol once I am done with my paramedic course.

Does it really matter?! Yes an email would have been nice but does it really matter? Nobody pays subs, you dont pay them or own them so if someone goes and sets something up that suits them more then so what?!
Perhaps you are showing a little bit of why people would want to go ride elsewhere!?!
The issue isn't that they left, it's the manor in which they left. If they're enjoying the rides more since setting up the club then that's great, but a simple bye would have been the decent thing to do.

If you'd ever come out on a ride with us Dangermouse (or had any input into the forum whatsoever - you're vocal enough now!) then you'd know what a nice bunch of guys we are. Yes it might seem petty, but there are reasons people feel rubbed up the wrong way.

Back on topic - personally I'm glad to see a club/group starting up catering for North Bristol rides, most of the existing clubs are South Bristol biased.
