Bought the Mixer at Evans, so I took advantage of the free service. Would be going to my LBS for paid services in future, but I thought "It's free, what harm can it do?"

Well, they could give me the bike back with the front brake messed up so that halfway through the ride home the disc started to shave one of the pads, very noisily. The fact that they repositioned the Ergon grips to an angle quite different to how I had them carefully adjusted is just a fun bonus.

This was their road bike "specialist" shop at The Cut, which is supposed to be better than their average. Arseholes.

Evans is hit and miss. I've been to a few of their stores and find the only one i can trust is my local one in west croydon. Always had good service there and never been upset when it's been in for a service. Certainly cheaper than my local bike shop as well (GB) :P

Bah, the gods have it in for me! Rode the bike back to Evans this morning, via New Cross (had to pick up something I left on the bus on the way to pick up the bike, yesterday). On Great Dover Street, just a few minutes from the Cut, I only have a bloody puncture. And this was the only day, in the entire time I've had the bike, that I wasn't carrying my repair kit. So it became a 10 minute walk to the Cut from that point.

At least Evans are fixing the puncture for free, out of general embarrassment.
