veladrome mayhem!

went to manchester velodrome last night, awesome night! done the tt and i got 16.95 secs in 1 lap, thats the gd news! i fell off last night causing myself to get quiet a big injury smashing all my elbow up and all of my right leg:( the accident wasnt my fault at all so would i be liable to claim for compo?:D

    Extremely unlikely unless you can demonstrate that who/whatever caused the crash has been negligent, well beyond what might be simply regarded as an error of judgement in competetive circumstances.

    Ouch! Always fancied a go at a velodrome. Did you use your own (road?) bike or did they lend you a track bike?

    Road bikes are not permitted on the track! :shock:

    Road bike are used at Maindee Stadium track, Cardiff.

    i had to hire a bike:S cost me a tenner also, the way i crashed is i went over some dude who was going slower than me i" shouted stay there im on ur right"
    and off a sudden he jolted up and hit me!was nasty he didnt even get a tiny bit injuryed which is wierd!

    I'd put it down to bad luck. I take it the other guy was a novice too ? So two novices on the track - even with pros you get incidents.
