Shw won the 1st stage of the Giro del Trentino by attacking after only 25km. Only one rider could follow her but Pooley dropped her after only 10km. She crested the 45km climb solo, nearly 5mins ahead, and no one caught her on the 20km descent to the finish, leading with nearly 3mins.

It would be great to see some of these races.

So far this year she has been pretty impressive from what I have read and has won:
La Fleche Wallonne
GP de Suisse TT
Tour de L'Aude
GP Elsy Jacobs
Contador is the Greatest

Nice pic of her crossing the line - not exactly Cav is it?

It is horrible that we never see these races.

First big win of hers, which I saw was shown on RAI.
This race should be on Rai sport at some point.
I took this a year ago, this week, having first shoved her out of the way to get to Cav, Wiggins and Millar.

    Nice photo Blazing Saddles,

It is a shame we don't get to see more women's races. I thoroughly enjoyed the Olympic coverage and World RR champs.

Emma is a great ambassador for the sport. I hope she gets some recognition in the Beeb's SPOTY this year.

    +1000.

Cav she certainly ain't! Classy she most certainly is.

Sadly women's cycling is only known to a very small audience so she and her fellow racers will never get the credit they deserve.

    My heroine.

If they just put women's racing on TV, the audience would follow naturally.

She's taken the overall, for her second stage race victory of the year.
I think it may be on Rai Sport, Thursday.

What a classy rider. With Nicole also coming back to form and the likes of Armistead we could have one of the strongest female teams at the Worlds. What a turn around over a few years. The Nationals could be a great battle this year.

Depends if they let Nicole just pick her mates again as opposed to the people she should take.

I don't think that will happen now she has serious competition for the no. 1 spot.
