Hi all,
I need a 27.0mm diameter seat post to fit my restored columbus max frame (Had to cut my old DuraAce post out )
I would like a campag aero post, there is one on ebay in switzerland which I may or may not be succeful with (if I am, case closed!)
My other option is to shim, getting hold of 26.8mm seems much easier, is the beer can shim trick good enough?
Other option is some really nice 25.4mm aero chorus postsfrom poland, shims are available to take it to 27.0mm. Would this seat post look obviously to small in my frame (columbus max)
I really don't want to use kalloy, SR, cheap far east etc.
Many thanks,
Steve

Unfortunately 27.0 is less common that 27.2 - meaning that they're harder to come by, but also means shouldn't be quite as expensive as more popular size.
Beer can shim is about 0.2mm - might be too thick as really you need to use a full 'wrap'
The problem with a USE shim and a 25.4 post is the shape of your seat collar - if its flat - OK, but could be a problem if shaped.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
