Pedal/crank thread insert needed

Anyone know of a supplier for a helicoil or simlar pedal thread. RHS . Mine is screwed.

    Is this a good idea? Lots of stress down there. I'm only asking because I know I would have reservations about doing that. Then again it may work fine. I'm just not sure I'd trust it.
    I've not heard of anyone doing it. Just trying to make sure that YOU feel safe with it.

    Helicoil is a proven technique - in fact stronger than the threads in bare alloy - if it's strong enough for holding cylinder heads on , should be OK for pedals. A decent LBS should have the kit - they need to drill and tap-out the crank and then screw in the Helicoil which is a steel insert. Alternatively try Highpath Engineering.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
