    What would you want to upgrade? the fork is more than capable, SLX drivetrain and Avid Juicy brakes...

    Personally I would just put more knobbly tyres on it (looks like Kenda Small block 8s?)

    These are very capable machines, with regards to upgrades I just replaced as it needed. Ilove the black on silver look at mine :arrow: below also the frame is standard acroos the range.

    was keeping the forks as it is for now
    was thinking if the frame is worth upgrading and wot other bikes are on par with these like zasker etc.
    Bones 2 very nice Giants there buddy,
    always had Gt, Rocky mountain cannondales trying to compare brands and weights standard and upgraded.

    Nice upgrades there, did you get the wheels rebuilt with the new rims or get new hubs and spokes too?

    Those forks are fantastic, I wouldn't even consider changing them really, ride these ones till they die.
    As for the frame, I've got an old Giant Boulder frame (no idea how old, but it's not a disc frame, so pretty old :lol: ) and it's doing fine. They're quite well built and designed for a bit of abuse. I know a few people that have the XTC and they love it.

    I think you should upgrade when you need to rather than anything else. You've got a really nice bike there :D

    cheers for the comment Mule,
    always had GT so new to the giant rigs looking to upgrade the crankset as i dont like the look of it thinking Xt or race face dues
    and a couple of carbon finishing bits lol

    new upgrades changed the wheels for sum Dt swiss hubs on Mavic rims
    and also a charge knife saddle in white not fitted yet.

    Thinking of upgrade the carbon bar to my bike too, can you feel any difference between the alloy and carbon?

    theres a lot less vibration over the rough stuff with carbon i think also a bling factor
