I have a family event coming up at my parents place. I live in Essex by J31 of the M25 and they live by J10 of the M1. I was planning to cycle there taking the back roads and meet my wife there.
Any recommendation on how to plan a route and what you should try to avoid; and before any smart arses say don't try and take the M25/M1 route; even my limited IQ can cope with that one

I've been using bikely to create a route then use googleearth to fly round the chosen route before setting off.2 Wheels or not 2 wheels..That is not in question.0
