Dudes in case you missed the post in the pro race section
No exact schedules or times but this seems fine:
For the first time, ITV4 will broadcast live coverage from every stage of the 2010 Tour de France, as well as comprehensive previews and daily highlights.
ITV4 has previously broadcast highlights of the event, with live coverage at weekends. The Tour kicks off on Saturday 3 July in Rotterdam, before travelling through Brussels and France, finishing in Paris on the Champs Elysees three weeks later on Sunday 25 July. This year’s Tour, the 97th, covers 3600 kilometres over 20 stages.
ITV4’s coverage will be presented by Gary Imlach with former Tour de France rider and Olympic champion Chris Boardman. Commentary will come from Phil Liggett with reports from Jill Douglas and Ned Boulting.
ITV.com will stream coverage throughout the tour along with video highlights of each stage. The site will also host a beginner’s guide to the Tour, rider profiles and video diaries from the British riders along with Twitter updates throughout the race. ITV’s successful Tour de France podcast also returns with daily updates.
British interest in this year’s Tour is likely to be high with a British team competing and success for British riders in 2009. Last year Bradley Wiggins finished fourth overall and Mark Cavendish won an unprecedented six stages.
Zai Bennett, ITV Director of Digital Channels said: “The Tour de France is cycling’s premier event and ITV4’s coverage has developed a great reputation over the past five years. I’m delighted that we will now be broadcasting live coverage throughout the Tour.”

No mention of Paul Sherwen...assume he will be there to hold Phil's cock while they talk about Lance?
Saying that I do like ITV's coverage of the tour with the little side stories etc. Even Phil and Paul have some charm, like your favourite old T Shirt that really should been binned years ago but you still wear it because it's comfortable and reminds you of happy times."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Could you put my mind to rest re your spelling mistake. Did you mean to use a T at the end or beginning of the word?"There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0 -
Ha Ha....I actually wrote C**k, but the filter obviously didn't like it!"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Or maybe I really can't spell!"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Excellent news! I'd heard a rumour that they were going to be broadcasting live, but counld't find any confirmation.
That's 3 weeks I can write off. Bliss!
I'd better get out and get a shedload of nibbles in.A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0 -
No idea what happened there, can somebody delete the multiple posts and this one or tell me how to do it?"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

This is good news - I've always loved the ITV coverage (especially the little musical montages they put together regularly) - so will definitely be watching their coverage. I've grown to like David Harmon on Eurosport but I still struggle with Sean Kelly (even though I know he is a cycling legend), but I'd rather watch ITV's coverage anyday. My cycling blog: http://girodilento.com/0

But the intro tune is nowhere near as good as Eurosport's, in fact it's dire.....and I cringed myself into a cramp when I heard that go off as a ringtone (loudly) in the bike shop a few months back.Where\'s me jumper?0

I think it's a great theme tune ..... and I was one of those saddos who had it on their phone.... sadly I changed phones and couldn't figure out how to transfer the file to my new phone. There's a high chance I'll get it again this year 8)My cycling blog: http://girodilento.com/0

That's the one, though it didn't sound that bad today :? I should have a positive association with this tune I know, perhaps my wife's interminable complaining about the tune for the past 4 years had an effect?Where\'s me jumper?0 -
ITV's theme tune's a classic.
What does Eurosport's sound like. I can't find it on You Tube.A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0 -
Eurosport HD, no brainer!0

Apologies to 'ScottieP' but my thoughts re coverage are the exact opposite, probably age related.
But Eurosport tend to describe what is going on rather than trying to add excitement, because of course we will all switch off if there is no constant excitement in a 5 hour stage.
Plus, if they do it as the football then the programme will start 3 hours early with an hour of adverts before going to the live footage. The finish will suddenly be stopped 100 meters from the line whilst an advert comes on.
And sorry but Phil Liggett legend though he is can make statements of the bleeding obvious and not just let us the viewer watch and appreciate what is going on. Information OK but ' the Garmin rider who I don't know who it is, is making a big break - no he isn't he is 20 metres ahead with 200 km to go.
Have you guessed that I do not appreciate ITV's coverage of cycling.0 -
Anyone know what time the ITT kicks of on the opening day? I'm presuming ITV4 will cover pretty much all of that, or certainly the last 40 riders or so.http://www.snookcycling.wordpress.com - Reports on Cingles du Mont Ventoux, Alpe D'Huez, Galibier, Izoard, Tourmalet, Paris-Roubaix Sportive & Tour of Flanders Sportive, Amstel Gold Xperience, Vosges, C2C, WOTR routes....0

I know where you are coming from. My son and I have a cringe every time he says "next number of days"......and he says it a lot.
I do like Carlton Kirby, who is informative and speaks well. Magnus Backsteahd(sp?) Isn't too bad either.0
