Headline makes him sound like an alcoholic. And why is he dressed like Ned Boulting?
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

We often describe him as a tiger,’ Brailsford says. 'He comes out when he’s hungry and when he’s full he wanders back into the jungle.
    Do tigers eat inner chimps?

Aside from the peek into the zoological management approach of Dave Brailsford, the article hasn't got too much new. I expect there will be a lot more of these articles as the Tour gets closer.

12 or 13 pints...hmm, anyone managed that at one sitting?

It would be easy to do 12 or 13 pints if you are in there from opening time, and leave at last orders.

Done 20 back in the day, its not big and its not clever but 12-13 is easily doable for somebody Wiggins' size. In my experience, though, the amount of alcohol your body can cope with reduces as you get fitter / leaner / your organs start to function properly so I'm pleased to say my limit at the moment is around 4 pints!

Do think that details like this escape Brailsford?

Chimps live in Africa, Tigers in Asia.

Now, had he been a lion, he would have been sent back to Garmin.

Sky employ Terry Nutkins to make sure the animal metaphors don't start fighting each other.

Tory, the name is Haig (I think) did boast he drank 14 pints when he went out on a Dray and tried to convince us he was one of the boys when he was party leader.

Subject Skol 6 Day Indoor race of yesteryear.
The Skol (larger in case it's not around anymore) people arrived at Wembly one night and remarked they had not seen so much beer consumed at one time including Rugby Do's.

My crowd would do 12 pints an evening anytime between October and Xmas.
That was only about a round each.
    and before Drink/Driving Laws.
A Counties Dinner/Dance and Alf (Tooting BC) and me at the bar chatting all evening (others joined in and went) and people coming to buy rounds did keep setting us up with more and more. (pints of Best Bitter) Wow, we did knock em back as we tried to keep up.
I drove home giving a couple a lift and they remarked I didn't say much and why the window was open on a cold night.
My girl (now my wife) said he is concentrating and won't talk because he has had a skin full and the fresh air helps him but don't worry he is safe. I only got one dance with him because he was with Alf (you know the guy with the Morgan sports car)
A later date the guys estimated 23 before the shutters came down but we left a couple on the bar.
Me Ocifer I've only had a little drinkies with my meal.

Well you did ask and No I don't know how many as I don't make a claim.
It was just a night I (and my wife) remember - how about a divorce before we got married, nearly
    Smile please.

Hells Bells Deejay how old are you? Drink drive laws have been around for about 50 years!

My intro to cycling was with mates so we could go on a pub crawl from village to village.

Almost - 43 years (1967) and I was at the RVV Flanders to watch Rik VanLooy/Tom Simpson.
I seem to be a bit older than Eddy Merckx who had a birthday this week.

Company car Expences were not tight then, so
Working in Yorkshire/Lancashire/Midlands or Wales and a midweek South London clubs Dart League match would see me turn up and have 6/7 pints and then return in the early hours.
Now some more people know who I am and some know me as deejay.

Pub crawl on xmas day going home from the Green Street Green Fancy Dress Parade and I always found that one crank was out of sync with the other and very odd at the Catford sprint.

When we were in the bar with 12 - 15 bods we always knew the ones who didn't get a round in.(we still do know those tight wads)
The count is easy then when you go to the bar a second time or so.

edit - we didn't count as we didn't have to and we didn't mix drinks either as we socialised in the off season

And just like training, it's always the day after that you really feel it.

Bike riders were known for good drinking and our "Drugs" were Mars Bars, Bananas and Beer
I couldn't drink anyone under the table and I didn't mean it to sound like "Bragging" but that I was part of the Norm in those days.
Big Brother was just Fiction in a Book. (the thread is Tory so)
Maggie has a lot to answer for, in taking the spine (and Industry) out of this Nation.
I remember many years ago the Redmon Cycling Club had their club night in a large saloon bar at the rear of a pub in SW London (maybe Morden) when I was taken there. Outstanding club atmosphere.

I see the TV pictures of Saturday nights and what that Fizzy Lager can do but it wasn't like that except in places like Kilburn where the paddies hung out.

Anyone who's been a student and anyone that grew up in the 70s can do that with their eyes closed. My record's 17 I think.
