Just popped into the cycling thing at St Paul's. Breakast and stuff, all good :-)

Bike checks if you want them. The five-o were there with a selection of broken bike locks, the cycle hire people were there.

I liked it. Did YOU go?

Eh? Where's this? I've a mate by St Paul's who I meet for breakfast sometimes. Would be good to un-nerve him by surrounding him with lycra.

"What happens when the hammer goes down, kids?"
    "It stays down, Daddy."
    "Exactly."

Is this just for bike week, or is it something totally unrelated?

    Think it was just today.

I park my bike in the racks art Bank and there was a thing attached to my handlebar last night telling me about it.

Sounds good. How did you find out about it? Was there a group organising it? Free coffee and food makes me want to attend the next one!

There were posters up at work here, though I work 1min from St Pauls so hardly surprising we'd get flier drops when it's so close

I was alerted to it by a chap holding a placard at the north end of Southwark Bridge. I modest detour for me. Thought it was a good idea and a lot of cyclists were very interested in understanding the blind spots around HGVs.

Pretty decent breakfast too - choco muffin, coffee, OJ, banana.

Bah, I'd have detoured if I'd known.

Always seem to manage to miss these cycling breakfast things.

Yes, an answer to that would be good. Googling for this is not returning anything useful.

    From that blog:
And there was the now-familiar HGV Experience (right). Here, cyclists are invited to go up in the cab of a lorry while police cyclists (in this case, the City's only two women cycle officers) sneak up on the inside so you can clearly see that they're invisible.

So, if those cyclists go on to become HGV drivers, this will definitely help save lives.
    :)
