i have the gpssport 245, very nice, simple to use, has POI, cannot upload a route to it, but i use it as a odo meter, and route recorder

get some and upload it to the pc, to view in google earth

good battery life, and its cheap! has a simple bar mount that can me used on the stem

the gpssport 260 is not out yet, but looks to be even better!

How much does it sell for?
My concern would be lack of compatability with software like Memory Map if you wan to use it plan routes in advance on your PC and transfer them to the device.
Take a look at the Garmin etrex and GPS60 models before you buy.

    Thanks,
but both those Gamin models do not have barometric elevation.
the Garmin device that i like a lot and is comparable is the Edge305. My problem with the 305 is its unreliability as it keeps shutting down during rides (after the first 6-8 month..). i wouls have buy my 3'rd 305 gladly if i knew they fixed this issue - only its a design problem which exists from its beginning and i doubt if they are going to fix it.

i dont know the price of the holux - i did not find it for sell and now i understand this is because it was not published yet...

Both the Holux GPSport 260 and Holux GPSport 260 Pro are available in the UK now

I bought the 260 pro because it can read wireless sensors and included a heart rate monitoring belt.

The unit is light and compact and the GPS system is very accurate. I also like the fact the display is very easy to read while riding and you can run with the backlight permanently on for night riding. It seems very reliable and batery life is excellent.

The software exchanges files in GPX format so it is possible to exchange routes between the included software and packages like Anquet etc.
